All new customers need to come to the Light & Water Plant office to set up an account for electricity and water service. if unable to come in, please call our office and other arrangements can be made. Renters need to pay a $200.00 meter deposit for oil heated apratments and $500.00 meter deposit for electric heated apartments or houses for electric service. This deposit gains interest after six months and it will be returned to the customer after final bills are paid when they move, or if they purchase the property. All new businesses also must pay a deposit, the amount will depend on estimated usage. During this time our billing process will be explained to our customer and we will be happy to answer any questions we can to help you with your move.
Many residents in town expressed concern over street lighting in town being shut off on many of our roadways. Customers can have lights connected for as little as $5.00 per month. If interested, please call our office.
When paying electric & water bills, do not combine your payments on the same check. We need separate checks for each, one made out to Templeton Water Dept. (billed quarterly) and the other for Templeton Light Plant (billed monthly). Thank you.
